WE PROMISE to support a balanced approach to juvenile justice that incorporates accountability and competency development in addition to public safety. We will work to improve resource utilization and youth development outcomes.
Juvenile Justice Policy Statements
1. Ensure targeted prevention, early intervention and treatment services for all youth who are at risk in home, school, or community, or who have come to the court's attention.
2. Provide comprehensive training in child and youth development and rehabilitative services/programs for all juvenile justice personnel.
3. Establish Community based alternatives to incarceration based upon nationally recognized graduated sanctions.
